Mobbing The Web
A 'Sopranos' Snitch

FBI recruiters, take note: Sue Sadik, web columnist and ex-private eye, has more dirt on Mob boss Tony Soprano than any federal task force. The New Jersey native, 40, has spent the last few months talking herself onto the shoots for HBO's ''The Sopranos.'' Why? So she can post candid photos and dish on Sopranoland, a fansite for which she's a sort of a front lines stringer.

Soprano Sue offers us a guide to the show's key locales, many in or near her Clifton neighborhood: the Soprano house, Satriale's Pork Store, the Bada Bing! club, even the pay phones Tony uses to conduct business. ''I know 90 percent of everything there is to know,'' boasts Sadik, who runs a delivery service. But she admits that in order to stay on exec producer David Chase's good side -- and get back on the set -- she tells us only 10 percent of what she knows. ''You open your mouth,'' she says, ''and you're sleeping with fishes.''

From godfathers to goodfellas, surf the rival turfs on the Web.
Sopranoland
No site brings you closer to being a Jersey crime boss. It's got an episode guide, dense cast bios, Mafia bowling shirts for sale, and (coming soon) temporary tattoos like the ones worn by Tony and Paulie. "People want to be Tony Soprano," says webmistress Ivy Hover. 'I get the strangest questions: There's a recliner in Tony's living room; where can I get one?'" So she packs the site with all sorts of minutiae, including the on-the-set exploits of gadfly SopranoSue and a gallery of the characters who now sleep with the fishes.

Persnickety attention to detail makes this labor of love the perfect holdover until next March, when HBO's lauded Mob hour returns and morally straight politicos can start grumbling again. There are full transcripts of most episodes, in-depth info on the show's New Jersey locations, dish about Tony Soprano's mysterious tiger tattoo, and, from site contributor and Jersey resident SopranoSue, new photos and up-to-the-minute flashes from the set. (FYI: The crew ordered Thai food Sept. 13, and it arrived late!) And we thought we were obsessed.
